Long River Tai Chi Circle - New York

New Tai Chi Beginners Class Starting!
Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019 at 7:30PM!

Our next beginners class starts Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019 at 7:30PM, with a free demo and class. No need to pre-register, just come by. We will spend the first half hour discussing and demonstrating taichi. During the second half hour, you will learn the opening movements of our form. (Ordinary street clothing is just fine.) Location is the Inwood Center 5030 Broadway Suite 613.

The class will then continue to meet at the same location on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. Tai Chi is a series of movements that are taught in sequence, and is called "the form". It takes about a year to learn the form. We start three new beginners classes each year, and current students are welcome to join them for additional practice. After learning the form, students can go on to the advanced class, start to learn push hands, and eventually study the sword form and fencing.

To encourage students to attend as many classes as they want, we charge by the week or month rather than by the class. The cost is $20 a week or $75 a calendar month. See our full class schedule.
